PIANO STUDENTS
Your piano should be tuned at least once a year. Any broken keys or pedals should be fixed promptly, as they can make practice more difficult and less enjoyable. The closest (local) piano tuner is Ben Call at (208) 734-7335. |
VIOLIN/VIOLA STUDENTS
Your violin strings should be replaced at least once a year. It is also recommended that you have your bow rehaired at least one time per year if playing and performing regularly. (For violins from Day Violins: It is recommended that your violin go in for a sound check with Mr. Day every 6 months.) Your teacher is more than happy to help you with replacing your strings. Ask for her recommendation on replacement strings (or check your string recipe directly from Day Violins), and then order from Shar Music (www.sharmusic.com) for the best price.
